WHY MANITOU SANTÉ?

Logo-Sante - Square

The availability, safety and medical efficiency of hard-to-reach regions of Quebec and Canada, as well as healthcare establishments struck by the outbreak of an infectious disease, require the use of a new type of buildings destined for telemedicine. These controlled and connected environments, designed entirely by Quebec partners, allow the health of local populations to be monitored year-round.

Health center are therefore in desperate need of a remodel to optimize the use of equipment and space, for efficient and safe medical services. We must not wait for the next major public health episode to act and protect both patients and healthcare workers. Well-designed physical and connected spaces to support them is a necessity to which Manitou Santé will respond, with the help of products developed by Bâtiments Manitou International. The use of partitioned buildings (to make them hot or cold areas, with surfaces and equipment that can be easily cleaned and moved), such as containers or a prefabricated building from Murox, is therefore a solution that is perfectly qualified and suitable for the task!

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

In this global pandemic period, Manitou Santé has been able to remain proactive by putting its multidisciplinary network of partners from various health industries to work.

Manitou was mandated nationally and internationally to source, route and distribute a wide range of medical products to meet strong international demand, which is constantly growing.

The quality of our products, the reliability of our pipelines and the creativity as well as the proactivity of our team make Manitou a leader in fair trade health supplies from Asia to Africa.

FOOD SAFETY & AUTONOMY

How is it that fruits from across the continent end up in remote indigenous communities with much less nutritional value because of the transport time, not to mention the environmental impact thereof, and displaying exorbitant price once at destination. This situation is unacceptable, but there is a solution.

In recent years, Bâtiments Manitou International (BMI), has developed with its Canadian partners, a new type of greenhouse and container-greenhouse that can be used in all climates, 12 months per year, thus optimizing agricultural production of proximity.

BMI’s advanced products also allow horticultural production by aquaponics, further reducing the impact on the environment and producing quality fish locally.

Manitou Santé is convinced of providing a lasting solution to the problems of supplying fresh foods in indigenous communities and thus contributing to better health for the people who live there.

HEALTH RESEARCH

Manitou Santé was mandated to set up therapeutic research units on the traditional Quebec, Caribbean and Asian pharmacopoeia (cancer, degenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer and dementias), sickle cell disease,  opioid control, mental illnesses) in association with world-renowned research centers.

The objectives of such a commitment are to define the foundations of a modular production meeting the environmental as well as therapeutic needs of the pioneers of this new industry.  The key sectors concern the research on subsequent entry biologics, pharmacopoeia extractables, agri-food, therapeutic innovation — particularly with regard to well-being — for both young and old, as well as public health in general.

Furthermore, the philanthropic and social aspects, education and awareness raising will play a major role in this project.
